The Aftermath
Wow, look at the time now. I should be in bed by now. Its been a long
time since I stayed up so late. The problem is I am unable to sleep.
Tried as much as I would but the turning and tossing is not helping.
Luck is on my side, the rest are asleep I have all the access to the
computer and internet, with any luck, by God's will, I hope I won't
get disconnected by the time I finish typing. God bless Nong Khai's
internet access.
This few weeks has been tremendously fulfilling for me. To able to
see God's awesome work done here. So the teams have left and now
its back to business. I have been following Vincent to Ban Dea Ah
village for following up. Its great to be able to visit the village again.
I was here earlier in June and have seen some good work been done
here. One of the villager, near the school, opened up his house for
cell group meetings on tuesday nights and saturday mornings for
the kids. Thank God for this brother.
I am helping out to teach basic conversational English in the village
on Saturdays and in Church on Sundays. Well, I must say at least I
some duties and responsibilities here. The kids in the village are very
clever and they learn fast. A pity that they are not in the right place
to recieve proper education, otherwise I believe that they would done
even better then the city kids. I would not be susprise that they
would be better in bible knowledge then alot of the city kids back in
Singapore given the chance.
Jeff and Tammy are back in Singapore to rasie funds for blankets for
the villagers in Pho Phisai. I pray that the Holy Spirit will speak to
people involved and will touch people who are willing to help in any
way. Also, one of orphanage are asking us to help out on Thailand's
children's day which is happening on the 8th Jan 2005. I am not sure
if I will be still around but I will be willing to help in any way. They are
also about 10-15 kids in the school that are interested in learning
English. This way we would be also be able to teach the kids bible.
Praise the Lord for open doors.
We will contiune to pray for this land here in Nong Khai and I do also
ask for you guys to keep us and this land in prayer. 450 years of
mission work here has finally seen fruits bearing. Amen!
